Description
This romantic 65-room hideaway is reputed to be among the finest resorts in Mexico. Opened in 1995, Maroma Riviera Maya is nestled at the edge of an unspoiled stretch of beach on the Yucatan Peninsula, bordered by the world’s second longest barrier reef, providing world-class SCUBA and snorkeling. The reef provides safe sea bathing in all weather conditions and protects Maroma’s talcum, powder-like white-sand beach, which has been recognized as the “World’s Best Beach” by the Travel Channel.
Stretching 81 miles, the Riviera Maya begins 11 miles south of the Cancun International Airport in Puerto Morelos, and extends to Felipe Carillo Puerto, a small town near the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. Served by most of the major airlines via the Cancun International airport; it is only a one-hour flight from Miami; two-hours from Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta; and just three-hours from New York and Chicago. A driver from Maroma Resort and Spa meets all guests at the airport and transports them to the hotel.
Maroma’s authentic Maya sensibility is evident throughout. The resort is made up of several white stucco buildings, two or three stories in height each with thatched roof terraces to maximize views and privacy.
Buildings are joined by winding stone pathways lined with lush plantings, which are lit by over 100 candles or torches each evening.
Each building has been crafted by hand by the same family of Maya masons and purposefully aligned to the stars to ensure proper energy flow so that mind, body and spirit are at peace. Interiors feature curved lines, indigenous building products, and windows that capture sunbeams; oversized tubs adorned with Mexican tiles, and carved lighting niches that define sensuality.

Maroma has 65 rooms and suites tucked among lush gardens, cooled and shaded by coconut palms on one side, open to the dazzle of sun and sea on the other.
Rooms glow with mahogany and bamboo-filtered light. A rainbow hammock beckons from the open-air terrace. Handpainted tile, soft wool rugs, original art and furniture from our own workshops make each unique.
King-size bed and luxury bath with sunken tub provide delicious comfort just steps away from the sparkling beach, exquisite pool, beachfront jacuzzi, dining pleasures and voluptuous gardens populated with exotic birds and iguanas.

Master Suite

Sian Nah Suite
The Sian Nah suites, Mayan for "House of Heaven," are nine ultra-luxurious ocean-front suites which are complete sanctuaries with separate living areas, spacious outdoor terraces, air conditioned fitness area and a private plunge pool.
Ground level suites have a special palapa with plunge pool and double treatment room which is located in the front of the suite on the beach and overlooking the ocean.
First level suites have a small staircase leading to the third floor where a palapa with panoramic views is located for SPA treatments.

Four Bedroom Villa-Villa Karolina
Upon entering the villa, you see the turquoise crystal water of the Caribbean mixed with the warm earthern colors of the furnishings and immediately feel at home.The open and spacious floor plan includes the living room, fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The glass terrace doors open out onto a covered patio area and beyond that is the pool with pathways leading down to the beach. There are two master suites on the ground floor located at opposide sides of the central living area and two on the upper level.

Adults 16 years old or over are welcome at the resort.
- The resort accommodates pets for $200 USD per stay per pet (cleaning $150 USD plus $50 USD for accommodation).
- There is a 10 lbs. maximum weight limit on pets and they must be leashed at all times while on property.
- Pets are not permitted in the restaurants, spa, or pool areas.
- Parents should pick up any "deposits" left by their pets.
- No swimming or bathing allowed in the pool or bathtubs. According to health codes, pets are not allowed in these areas.
- Be kind to the pet next door. Please no barking.
- No restaurant dining (per health code).
- Additional charges will accrue if your pet causes any damages to hotel furnishings.

- Open to the sea and shaded by swaying palms, the resort currently offers 36 rustically luxurious rooms, with a further 21 nearing completion. All are located in a cluster of five 2-3-story villas with thatched roof terraces nestled among lush tropical gardens. All guestrooms offer ocean and garden views, original art, hand-loomed bedding and rugs, terraces adorned with colorful hammocks, bamboo shutters, and CD players. Oversized bathrooms are resplendent with sunken tubs hand painted tiles.
- The resort also includes a four-bedroom beachfront villa, with living room, indoor and outdoor dining rooms, private pool, and open-air terraces surrounded by tropical gardens overlooking the ocean.
- Twenty (20) acres of undeveloped beachfront land is targeted for an ecologically sensitive expansion, including a number of private villa suites.

Our meeting room is equipped with high speed internet access, projection screen capabilities, air-conditioned, private restroom and small terrace for coffee breaks.
In addition, Maroma’s abundance of outdoor space provides numerous alfresco options for gatherings by the pool, under palm trees or on the white sand beach. The sales staff can arrange for all ground transportation, excursions, banquets and special events as well as all the extras from mariachi bands to fireworks.
