CURRENCY:

While the Eastern Caribbean Dollar is the official currency of Anguilla, the US dollar is widely accepted across the island. To that end, ATMs can be found in many convenient locations. However, it’s best that you withdraw money on Friday should you be staying through the weekend.

 80°F monthly mean temperature, water temperatures generally range between 70 and 80°F.

Anguilla Time Standard Time is 4 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-4).

LANGUAGE:

The official language of Anguilla is English.

Today most people in Anguilla speak a British-influenced variety of "Standard" English. Other languages are also spoken on the island, including varieties of Spanish, Chinese and the languages of other immigrants. However, the most common language other than Standard English is the island's own English-lexifier Creole language (not to be confused with French Creole spoken in islands such as Haiti, Martinique, and Guadeloupe).

SHOPPING HOUR:

Unlike other Caribbean islands, Anguilla has an authentic feeling about it. Traditional tourist shops won’t be found on the island, but in their place you’ll find an amazing array of art galleries, designer boutiques and island-inspired treasures. From clothing to crafts to accessories, it can all be found on Anguilla.

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

If you are a US citizen, you can stay in Anguilla without a visa for up to 90 days.

Anguilla is one of fourteen British Overseas Territories and United Kingdom has it under its sovereignty. As a result, UK immigration visa law is enforced in Anguilla.
