UJV Advisor Review of The Palms in Turks and Caicos

The Turks and Caicos islands in the Caribbean are a remarkable destination perfect for a tropical getaway. While almost every destination in the Caribbean can claim this, Turks and Caicos have a few things that make them unique.

One of those things is that the diving and snorkeling there are unparalleled. There are countless miles of unspoiled barrier reefs surrounding the islands. Travelers can explore numerous sheltered inshore reefs and wall diving sites.

In the water, travelers can also enjoy kiteboarding, windsurfing, parasailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

On land, there are excellent horseback riding, golf, and breweries to enjoy.

This destination is a terrific place to send your clients.

To get a better sense of the experience, we sent our advisors to review The Palms resort. They checked out everything from the rooms and amenities to the dining options.

Here is everything you need to know to recommend this destination to your clients.

How to get there?

It is straightforward getting from the airport to The Palms. Your clients will fly into Providenciales International Airport, also known as Provo (PLS).

It will take you about 10 minutes to get to the hotel by taxi and 30 minutes to get there by shuttle bus.

Overall experience and hotel highlights

The experience starts before you even enter the property. When you first pull up to The Palms, you’ll see its great landscaping and beautiful architecture.

Guests feel welcome from the instant they step into the hotel. While you are checking in, they bring you a refreshing and sweet cucumber drink. The check-in process itself is straightforward. Staff members at the front desk are friendly, but nothing about the process is unique.

Once you check in, your clients can expect to take a quick tour of the property while the bellmen take their bags to the room.

The suites at this hotel are huge, giving guests plenty of space.

On the property, there are many highlights, including the fantastic spa. The beach, Grace Bay, was another high point of the trip.

In addition, there are plenty of activities that guests can enjoy throughout the property.

One of our advisor’s favorite parts about the hotel’s dining experience was the breakfast. The Palms has an American-style breakfast buffet that is of decent quality.

Our advisors did experience something they did not enjoy. There was a large yellow air blower on the carpet when they arrived. No one came to remove it until turndown service, despite being told they would. However, this was a minor detail compared to the rest of the experience.
